Your introduction should include a clear and concise statement of the main problem/issue to be addressed.
Discuss why economic policymakers pursue actions to stimulate the economy or depress the economy.
Discuss expansionary fiscal policy, which are actions the Office of the President (the U.S. President) and Congress can pursue to stimulate the economy and contractionary fiscal policy, which are actions the Office of the President (the U.S. President) and Congress can pursue to dampen economic growth. Cite information from the Economic Report of the President and/or reports from the Congressional Budget Office (you used those sources in the Week 3 team paper). Provide at least two real-world examples of current fiscal policies.
Discuss expansionary monetary policy (actions the Federal Reserve can pursue to stimulate the economy) and contractionary monetary policy (actions the Federal Reserve can pursue to dampen economic growth). Cite information include the Federal Reserve (federalreserve.gov) and the various Federal Reserve banks.
Discuss the Federal Reserve’s current stance on the economy. Cite information from the latest statement by the Federal Reserve Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) and the various Federal Reserve banks. Be sure you discuss the Federal Reserve’s views on the current strength of the economy as well as the Fed’s current policy goals.
Discuss how the strength of other countries’ economies outside of the U.S. affect the firm you selected. Cite current information on exchange rates (a good source is https://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/categories/15).
In your conclusion recommend actions your selected firms can take to strengthen their competitive strategies and/or supply chain based on your research of current U.S. expansionary and contractionary policies as well as the strength of other countries’ economies.
Cite a minimum of three peer-reviewed sources not including your textbook (the Economic Report of the President, reports from the Congressional Budget Office, and reports from the Federal Reserve and their member banks count as peer-reviewed sources) and format your paper consistent with APA guidelines. See Academic Policies document and the message, Dictionaries & Online Encyclopedias, which is posted as a Class Message, for information on sources that are appropriate for academic work.
